Hey everybody. I've been working on a small run and gun platforming game. The game is still unfinished but you can take a look at:

Notice that the public beta on the site is really old. I'd like to get some feedback though so drop me PM if you want to be a playtester and I'll send you the latest build.

Hi, thanks. I drew all the graphics in MS Paint although the game was programmed in Lua. :)

Check your PMs everybody. I noticed that for some reason the forum isn't sending an email notification when you receive a new PM.

wow i have to give it to you man, this game is pretty sweet. it really brings me back into the old times of like mario and stuff. I can see people playing this in their free time, i definitely would. Ive been trying to get past level 1 for 30 minutes now, so far im trying to beat the stupid crane that keeps knocking me off. But its sweet man

It doesn't have to be positive. I'm actually looking for input about the level of gameplay difficulty. Especially, if you are getting stuck at a particular point in the game (like Colin was with the wrecking ball crane).

He did say 'possible', not 'positive'. :P

I too am stuck at the crane, but I'm more willing to chalk it up to my ineptitude with the genre. I've only had a couple tries. Let you know if I pass it. Checkpoints could be tweaked if that's not already in the works.

My bad, I misread p793's post. :) Yeah, Rome, the first level is missing any checkpoints which should be fixed in the next release. Looks like the difficulty level is too high right off the bat.
