First of all, read this,
http://www.expertfootball.com/forum/vie ... hp?t=13327
There was a post asking about this kind of thing a while ago, so I figured I'd do a bit of research. Now this is just a compilation of the shots, not passes that lead to shots.

Inside Curve
The most common free kick type, and it's known by pretty much everyone. As overused as it is, that's only because it works every time.
Variations include more power,

this isn't too much more power, but if you notice the ball curves a lot more suddenly if you put more power into it. This next one is nice, but with subtle curve.
If you smash the ball, you might get this:

Straight shot
One goal really stands out for me, and this is it:
There is a really slight inside curve on this one, but for the most part he shot it straight into the corner. What stands out for me is how Moutinho's technique fooled Frey (who is no slouch in goal), notice how Frey begins moving to his right, expecting the ball to curve, but it didn't and he was caught.
Any more power and you basically have this:

Keep in mind though that if you try this, there's a huge chance of hitting the wall (and before that goal I don't think I've ever seen Ibrahimovic score a free kick, and he took a lot of them).

There are so many guides here on how to take them.
A bunch in there.

I'm not a huge fan of these because of how easy it is to hit the wall, but when done well it works.
0:33, 1:46, 2:02, there are a few free kicks in there, including some different types, but do yourself a favour and watch the entire thing.

I'm not going to lie, I couldn't find a goal, but I did find this and it looks nice:
From that far out though, it's not going to happen.

Sweep Shot
I've seen it called the inside out shot, but it doesn't really have an official name so I figured I'd do the honours. I thought I discovered this shot a while ago, but then I saw this site and I realized it's been around for a while. I called it the sweep because the follow through is a sweep across your body.
My favourite way of shooting because not many people expect it.
If you put more power into it, you'll get...
...a wet dream.

That's it for now. If you feel there's a category or subcategory that I missed, feel free to post it.

Nice, good lay out and although its not the most informative post, its highly useful if someone wants an easy way to look at many different styles of shot. Great effort, well done.

I love it when it takes me 2 weeks to answer even though I've been on every day.
Thaks for the feedback.
Really I just wanted something to show what happens when you experiment with power and follow-through without getting overly complicated.
