i heard they didnt call up Mido and Ghaly though, which may mean they struggle, but theres a guy called Mosalem i think, hes a left back, dont know if hes in the squad, but hes on trial with crystal palace and it would be interesting to see him if he is in the squad.

There is 13 finns, 6 zambians, 1 nigerian and 1 croatian in the mens team. Head coach is belgian and assistant coach is zambian and he has been staying in Finland for 15 years. The zambian assistant coach and the owner of the club are visiting Zambia every year for some new talents, so they have started a small academy there to make the job easier.
Wow just think of how many different langagues are spoken in that locker room
Well first game of the tournament then, i watched the highlights on BBC just now, what a goal from Sulley Muntari to win it, really ghana should have won by much more than just 2-1, they hit the posts 3 times i think lol. I also find the gulf in class of the players funny, Muntari and Essien in midfield, with Junior Agogo of nottingham forest up front lol.

umm 5!?! not really that many
Ill say three: french, english and finnish. Many african nations are french and english speaking due the colonial age.
Guys this thread is about the African Cup of Nations lol.
Anyway update on results:
Nigeria 0-1 Ivory Coast
Mali 1-0 Benin
Egypt 4-2 Cameroon
Sudan 0-3 Zambia
I watched Nigeria vs the Ivory Coast and the end of Mali vs Benin. I thought Ivory Coast played poorly actually, it was just a piece of individual magic from Kalou which won them the game.
Mali seemed to be quite poor too, Benin were ok considering, they are a small and not well renowned african nation, just the Kanoute pen in that one.
As for Egypt vs cameroon, wat a bad result for Cameroon wow, i saw Eto'O's first goal, but i missed mohammed zidans' hatrick and the rest of it.
Tunisia vs Senegal today, ill be watching that

Tunisia Senegal was a good game 2-2 it finished, Tunisia went 1-0 up then Senegal came back to 2-1 then Tunisia, cant remember the name of the guy, scored a sick goal from about 25 yards out, worthy of clinching a point, i reckon both teams would be reasonably happy, Tunisia more so, but they wont find it easy against South Africa and Angola.
