and is their anything else i should stay away from uther than fat?

Fat provides your body with warmth, everone needs some fat in order to survive. Fat can also be used as energy by your body, thus why exercise 'burns' fat.

Protein aids muscle growth and repair. You should be looking to take around 50g of Protein per day, and 70g of Fat (Varies with age and gender so check in other sources for RDA of fat and protein)

Just another note regarding fat - do not be led to believe that fat is an evil. Fat is needed, but in the right ammounts. Fat is only 'bad' when you begin taking on more than you need. You should certainly not 'stay away' from fat completey.
