You're left-footed or right-footed?

Practice dribbling passing shooting and ball control all with both feet :D
Best left mids are Zidane and Ronaldinho - they often play from the left but move to the centre and right
Giggs Robben
C.Ronaldo can also play on the left
Joe Cole
The list of amazing players who play from the left goes on and on :D
Hope this helps :D

You should work on your dribbling because often an outside mid will have to stall while his team sets up for the attack or to recieve a cross. You need to be able keep possesion during this time and then set yourself up to get off a cross.

Mabye work on

shoulder dips
cross overs
step overs
crossing (obviously)

Most important things as a mid are endurance, passing and long balls. It is a neccesity to have solid techniques in other areas but these are the main areas. Also, always check to the ball. Nothing is worse than a lazy midfielder who sprints with possesion but doesn't help the defense or check to players. Good luck.
