Deco or Lampard

Post by peps1154 » 25 Oct 2006, 01:43

This is just a rumour which Im pretty sure will never happen however I heard from a NOT-credible source that Barcelona wants to give Chealse Deco for Lampard and additionaly pay them a few millions.

It got me thinking that if Barca would do this they would prove themselfs to be complete and total idiots. I say so because in my opinion Deco is at least 1.5 times better than Lampard. Not only does he posses all of Lampard qualities but he can also dribble when needed. Deco's only downfalls are his diving, and sometimes laziness. Would you guys agree or disagree?

I'm guessing G-unit_freestyler does know who Frank Lampard is, but is implying that he has been playing so badly for the past year or so, he doesn't even make it in the world class list.

Lampard's game fit's the EPL very well, he's not the greatest in terms of technical aspects of the game which is showcased in Spain. Deco fits Spain better then England IMO. I wouldn't see any reason for either team to do a swap.

yes, lampard's style of play is too EPLish, he wouldnt fit very well into Barca's style anyway, and Deco is doing just fine anyway, and I think Deco is better than Lampard

that would be so stupid for barca to do something like that!
trading deco for someone like lampard who is good but not as good as deco and is having one sad form slump.
As well as paying a few extra million!!!
Lampard plays EPLstyle while Deco's style is much more portuguese/Spanish. A swap will see both players struggle in their alternative leagues.
Both players r better off they way they r

Deco's play hasn't been brilliant either....

I prefer Deco over Lampard, but Lampard's as or more effective of a player.

I agree with fir_nev players are human and from time-to-time are gonna hit a little bump here and there but they usally come out of it.

And what about all the other EPL players in the past that have went on to have huge succes in La Liga?
