hey, i dunno if its possible to compare to teams 1 in the past and 1 in the present because the present teams are always better... pele was awesome his time(defenders not as good as now) but if he were born today he would play like crouch or better perhaps but as im saying football is becoming r harder and harder

2006 Argentina vs 2006 Italy.
That should have been the final.

Argentina by far. They played so beautifully, they were so connected, and were just overall the best team in the WC. They had the most difficult run through the tournament, starting with the real group of death. Then Mexico and then host country Germany. As for Italy, they were far from convincing until the semifinal, they had to dive to win vs. Australia, and were so lucky not to have been beaten by France. Also, their run up to the final was pretty easy. I mean, the USA were a joke, Czech Republic had lost their stamina and confidence when they played Italy, then Australia and Ukraine before finally meeting Germany? As for the dream final, Argentina vs. Germany or Argentina vs. France is it.

Is there any doubt about this? Brazil finished first, Portugal fourth. Brazil won their games because of their team cohesion and great play, Portugal lucked through the tournament by play-acting and wasting time (Netherlands killed them throughout the game and were extremely unlucky to lose, and we all know about the England game)

as much as i hate to admit it, argentina. brasil had romario, and a slightly better team overall, but argentina 86 was one of the best of all time as far as im concerned.

What is your guys opinion about the best team from these 4. Plz state one for each: current rosters and best ever roster.

Hajduk Split, Dinamo Zagreb, Red Star Belgrade, Partizan.

that is a tough one....
pele and maradona r the two biggest players from those teams
And Argentina '86 were a football sensation,
but ill pick brazil 58 coz of there gifted players like didi, dida and pele and because their passing, shooting and teamwork made them one of the best teams ever.

total football, really beautiful definitely one of the ultimate teams ever, total understanding between everyone, and with johan cruijff, not much can go wrong. So much fluidity in how they played, impossible to mark players.

like u sed, the flair, poise and allround skill of total football led by mastermind cruyff will be to hard for barca06,even with players such as ronaldinho, eto'o deco etc.
