I agree, r9 is clearly better than CR7, but I was merely pointing out that CR7 is now going to go down as a legend because of his scoring record at Manchester and Madrid, and how much of an impact he can have to his teams season, not just one game. Regardless of the haters, he has been Real's most important player for 2 seasons and he was United's most important when he was there also. As for the matter of world cups, well if you are using that as the judgement then just declare Pele the greatest player in history bar none? World cups do not matter in my opinion, because a world cup is a team effort. The only player who deserves a mention about world cups would be Maradona because he near enough beat the world on his own.
arguably the best British player to ever play the game
WTF? Are you been serious?! For a start, George Best would be classed as British, as Northern Ireland is part of Britain, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt as you have included him. He is in my opinion the greatest British player in history, by quite some margin.
However, second place is certainly not Kenny!
I would say that Charlton, Banks, Moore, Law and maybe even Lineker and Shearer were better than Dalglish. Soz for the rant but I wouldn't consider him arguably the best by any stretch of the imagination.
