Your top 10 dribblers of modern time

Post by panchester07 » 16 Sep 2010, 21:29

I'm pretty obsessed with beautiful football and the imaculate execution of skills like receiving, passing, shooting, dribbling, trapping bla bla bla... Thats why i worship nations like Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Holand, when they play their style and play with art and beauty..... Theres nothing that pleases me more, than watching a good player kill the ball with his chest, take on 2, and place it in the bottom corner with finesse and class.... I prefer that over a guy that can muscle out another player, or tackle with cleats up like a lumberjack....

Since there are few ways of passing, receiving, shoting, etc, I'm not interested in copying players, cause they all quite do it similarly, theres only 3-4 ways to perform these skills and we all know them... When it comes to dribbling though, theres hundreds of ways of beating people, and the best way to learn is watching the bestttt do it..... So long story short, let us learn from the pro's and how they beat the best defenders at the highest level..... We can then copy the moves in our leagues and teams and be more succesfull dribblers....

Post the list of who you think are the best 10 dribblers of modern time (include videos) heres mine in no particular order:

1) Lio Messi

Sick its all good about the videos, I can look em up, its just to have more great dribblers to imitate, copy, and study, sometimes you run out of moves and copying the best is an exellent option at times.....

I had forgetten about Alexis Sanchez completely, he is a beast, that fucken Chilean :):)... Good list collin

Its okay leonardo, good list, it gives me a few players I wouldnt have focused on to study them and analyze their dribbling styles... thanks a lot... Can I get any more participation???'

PS, leo where you from if its okay that I ask..?

-Marko Marin is another great dribbler, from Werder Bremmen... He's # 10 now that Ozil left and he just turned 21..

Cassano is really good too, really creative, really good touch and his plays result in danger 90% of the time..Everytime

Listen up everyone, it really sucks that there is no compilation videos of Steed Malbranque, his fitness is not great etc etc but his dribbling abillity is superb, he is easily in the top 20 best in the world, and you can not say he isnt untill you have seen him live, or a compelation video is made. at the weekend against arsenal he did the roll with the inside of the foot (when you move with it) like an anti flip flop...?

around 3 arsenal players. freaking insane. he is so good at dribbling, shame he has lost the legs.

What kind of dribblers?
There's the "I'll beat players for fun" type:
-Messi
-Pastore
-Cassano
-Robinho
-Robben
-Lavezzi
-A. Sanchez
-Ribery
-J. Zanetti (when he decides to dribble)
-Nani
-Quaresma

There's also the "I can dribble for fun, but I prefer to just make space for myself" type:
-Aguero
-C. Ronaldo (that's what he's turned to anyway)
-Drogba
-Tevez
-Miccoli
-Ibrahimovic
-Balotelli
-Villa

And some go either way:
-Suarez
-Ronaldinho (current)
-Rosina
-Kaka
-Menez

I'm out.
