Great Players that you Wouldn't Have Expected to be Good

You know what I'm talking about, the great players that play for a non-top-notch team, so it's always surprising when people find out how good they are. Diego Milito before moving to Inter, for example. Everyone knew he could score goals, no one could have guessed he was that good. Ozil, same deal, a lot of people knew he was a great talent for a while, but it took the World Cup for people to really find out about him.
And players like Aguero and Cassano don't count, because everyone knows how good they are, even if they don't play for top notch teams.

For me, Massimo Maccarone and Alejandro Dominguez are two players like that. Granted I haven't seen them play too often, but every time I do watch them (especially Mac) I'm surprised that they don't play for big teams.

Go.

Hernandez has been a shot from dark to me. Hopefully he will have a brilliant season at United.

Juan Mata - Valencia

Pablo Hernandez - Valencia

Tamudo - Espanyol

Reyes - Atletico Madrid (yes the same one who turned out to be a flop in Arsenal after showing a lot of potential)

Kanoute - Sevilla

navas- sevilla (he is sooooo good)

chung-yong lee- bolton

Abou diaby- knew he was good, but didnt think he would get as good as this. Top class center mid

patrick ramsey- saw him the first time for wales i believe (u-21?) and was immediatley impressed. Then found out he was on arsenal lol. Great player for his age, too bad about the broken leg.

adam johnson- Knew he was good, then saw him play last year in a man city game (which wasnt often), and man i was so impressed. what a player

Tom Huddlestone- First time I saw him was for the english u21 and the way he played was so natural, and easy. The way he strikes a ball, the effortless hit on the ball with so much power and accuracy. This is exactly what i said "fu** hes good".....then found out he was on tottenham. He didnt play much that season, but then did after that.

He is a pretty good player.

Going to be fair but who hear actually expected Nando to be awesome at Liverpool. He was always good but not 30 + goals a season good.

I sadly, was more keen about the Kuyt arrival than him.

I did. I remember watching a game where he scored a brace for Atletico when he was still only 20 or so. I thought he'd be up there for the golden boot every year.

Canada would be BK if we just put all the Newfoundland rugby players on the team and called it a football squad. ;)

Charlie Adam for Blackpoo. lHe can pick out a pass like a Gooner, and his technique is nasty. His dribbling's not too shabby too. I wish i had his technique

Didn't they just win something? Like the CIS championship?

The national championship, boyo. Straight up. Not university, just senior men's. ;)

I watched it live. It was sick.
