Your Top Five Footballer Muppets 09/10

Post by a_twig » 24 Apr 2010, 02:13

Well, we have a lot of threads for the best/most exciting players of the year, but we didn't have a worst blunderers of the year thread that I've seen.
Name the five players you think have made the worst blunders this year (not necessarily the most). Remember, were talking about blunders here, not just what you hate a player for.

Here's my five (not sequential):
Abou Diaby--scoring the winning goal (Arsenal vs. ManU)... at the wrong end! Fergie must've paid him to do that!
Steven Gerrard--for accidentally shielding a teammate off the ball with his wide frame
Zavon Hines--for hitting the post with an open net ten yards in front of him, no keeper, no defenders, no pressure, no goal
Javier Mascherano--for slide tackling Edwin van der Sar (who actually had the ball in his hands, a good four feet off the ground) and claiming that he got the ball first
Lee Bowyer--for getting three handballs called against him in the same half; in fact, the ref had to book him for it

My opinion only.

1. Owen Coyle: for moving to a bigger yet duller, more boring club for more cashola.
2. Didier Drogba: for whinging to Fatty Lamps about not getting the chances to go for golden boot even though the team shouldve been focusing on actually taking the title first. Selfish, greedy butt.
3. Beach ball kid: The young Liverpool fan who through the infamous beach ball on the field. Turned out he got home and threw up in the backyard.
4. Fabianski: Those dreadful blunders in goals all year.
5. Jason Scotland: 32 games 1 goal in the league. The proposed golden signing for Wigan didnt go to well.

1. Sol Campbell backpass to Fabianski, and the retard picked it up against Porto, CL 1st leg....not to mention the own-goal previous to that.
2. Gerrard's backpass to a waiting Drogba.
3. David James' wiff kick against Chelsea..must be a horrible pitch.
4. Bendtner's multiple misses vs. Burnley.
5. Fabianski's peformance vs. Blackburn....wow...just wow.
