seedorf. he's not as good as he used to be, but he's one of the greats of his generation.

Zidane, he made france win the world cup in 1998. He's a better playmaker than Platini.

gerrard.both of them are good in attacking, especially long shot.but in defence ,gerrard is far better than lampard.i dont mean lampard is poor in defending, but gerrard is too good.you will be impressed if u watch his sliding tackle,he is brave to make tackle and good in timing.moreover,he can play as striker and defender(less) sometimes.in england, eriksson even try to use him as left midfielder before.gerrard is more talented,he was a star before wc 2002.england fans are sad that he is injured, but not even care about lampard not selected into wc squad to korea/japan in 2002(eriksson chosed hargreaves ahead of lampard).england skipper beckham even said that england lost in the tournament was because of the absence of gerrard(true 1!)

stam. ferdinand just hasn't been very impressive lately. i haven't seen stam play since he moved to ajax, but i'm sure he will do just as well there as he's done anywhere. he's one of the best in my opinion.

i will go with rooney sice he is a young talented striker and he will be better in the future, rooney has the scoring touch.

if you mean davids in his juve days, i've got to go with him. he was a defensive version of ronaldinho. he had such amazing skill on the ball, but at the same time he was so effective. makelele is good, but davids was definitely one of the best of his time

Different playing styles, but Joe Cole. He's as good a winger as there is these days, there's better DMF's then Xavi IMO.

nesta, but only by a little bit. he's one of milan's many lynchpins these days, whereas i think juve could probably replace cannavaro if they lost him. cannavaro is better for italy, but nesta is a little better for his club, so i pick him.

I think shevchenko is better, he has great speed and a wicked shot, a great asset to Ac Milan and Ukraine. Trezeguet is also a good player but i think shevchenko has a better effect on his teams.

France won, but we're comparing individuals, so I'm going with Ronaldo. I like Zidane more, but I think Ronaldo was the best in the world at the time.

henry. i say without a doubt, he's the best in the world (next to ronaldinho). he's absolutely amazing in every area of his game.

Ibrahimovic over Owen. Owen really hasn't done anything in years. Not in the same league as Ibrahimovic. Better in the air, better passer...

lampard, but just barely. he's better with long shots (most of the time), and is a deadly playmaker. riquelme is good, but lampard is one of the best.

Viera

He's better in the air, a little more complete, just better overall.

Cole. He has the most incredible stamina. I don't think I have seen a more complete left-back. He defends with determination and bravery, yet attacks with creativity and intelligence. And he never abandons either responsibility. He will be crucial to Arsenal's Champions League games against Juventus and in England's World Cup campaign.
