Yeah, I'm really excited for this World Cup.

Normally all the games would be in Edmonton (My home) like the Women's U-19 (U-18?) World Cup. I went to almost every game of that tournament, it was pretty good. We had the only grass soccer pitch that was suitable for this tournament at the time. But now, I guess we have to share. :( No more watching Bronze medal and Gold medal games back to back...live *sob*. Now we only get a few games, quite disappointing. Toronto gets the final! Oh well, should be a great time anyways.

Should be very interesting I live near Toronto. Any idea how many games will be played there? That's cool that the final is there though.

So, it's already the biggest sporting event Canada has ever staged I guess. Over 500,000 tickets sold so far...

That's great news for soccer in Canada. Just goes to show that it is getting bigger in our cold, hockey-worshiping nation. :P

For all you Canadians, one of the players at Ipswich, Jamie Peters has been named as one of the six ambassadors for Canada for the U20 tournament.

If you don't know about him, he's a right winger and he's been in good form over the last couple of months. He's really getting to grips with the English game.

He plays for Canada? Or England?

Also our Newcastle boy is going to be with us, so I'm excited for that.

As am I. He will have a big role to fill though. He is expected to be a big leader for the team. I hope he does well.
