Australia v. Japan

Post by jthursto » 12 Jun 2006, 15:30

Talk about a comeback! I was very very impressed with the Australian team. 3 goals in 8 minutes! Japan definitely underestimated them in those last 10 minutes and it cost them the game. And what a pathetic attempt by the japanese defender on the third goal, but I'm glad Australia did well they didnt give up and it all payed off in the end.

Any other thoughts?

ummmmmm, no. Did you watch the game? Did you see Japan's goal? It should have been credited to the referee for not calling the foul. Australia's second and third goals were legit, while the first was a bit lucky. But they had some good chances throughout the game and were unlucky in finishing. I'd say it's the right result, Australia just came on strong in the last minutes.

Japan's goal shouldnt of been allowed and evan the ref after the game apologised to the auzzies for the bad call but it was all to late by then. Australia deserved to win.. they were all over japan the entire game and those 3 goals at the end were well deserved i thought.

Australlia deserved that win. Simply astounding. The U.S. needs to take some lessons from that
