Post by Rome_Leader » 09 Jul 2011, 18:43

After watching the match just now, I only have this to say: PKs, breaking English hearts since time immemorial. :p

Triskaidekaphobia: The unnatural fear of the number 13.
Most of Ballack's opposition have this phobia.

I was pulling for them, really. Just can't happen, no matter the gender of the team. :p

Dam!

I can't find any other vid's on the net of it unfortunately, but it was funny!

^ The ball came off the near post, rebounded to her, she caught it, and stood awkwardly like this^ for about 4 seconds while the Australian team were all like >
Image

The ref' literally did nothing about it, the Equatorial Guinea player eventually just dropped the ball and play-on...

What an epic game between the USA and Brazil just now. I've never been so excited for a women's football fixture. It had everything. Intrigue, suspense...

Karma for Erika perhaps? Who knows?

Such an epic game. Say what you want about the women's game, that was a great game and might have had the best ending to any game, men or women.

The US pulled it out despite some questionable (terrible) refereeing.

Well, that was nothing short of amazing. So long Women's World Cup, thanks for the memories! Free-flowing football, tension and drama... I was thoroughly entertained.

Quite the opposite, I think. Did you see the second sail over the bar? Low and hard to the corners is always best; a short keeper won't get there nor will a tall one.

Yes Panny, but I had time to catch the end. OMG, Brazil are out! But hey, they got eliminated in the quarterfinals in both 2001's Copa and 1993's, and the World Cups in the years to follow went... OK. ;/

I actually liked watching the women world cup a lot, there is a lot less diving and bitching than in the mens game. Truth.
