Haha, nice man. I'll use your template to post mine. I think it's the Netherlands year as well. I'm doing a couple different ones, but I like this one the best because I have a good feeling that Mexico will go fairly deep just by outscoring opponents, because their defense is sh*t.

With Van Persie being the lone striker most likely for the Netherlands, I have him winning the golden boot. There's 33/1 odds on that right now...I put some money down just in case I happen to win my pool AND that bet.

Round of 16
Mexico vs Greece
England vs Ghana

Doesn't matter why anyone picks their winners, it's not a discussion thread it's to post your bracket and see how you do as the cup pans out. If someone picks Serbia win it all that's cool, it's a bracket for a comp where anything can happen.

Exactly what I think. That's why they play the game...otherwise it would just be based on world rankings..which works out very seldom due to the group stages.

I know, I agree with that too, haha that just caught my eye at the moment.
And no Tommy not the rankings.. cause according to ranking's portugal is 3rd, amongst other peculiarities... just common sense and how they've been playing lately, not to mention the players the team counts with.I'll post my bracket later today.

@Panny, if it works out how I've predicted it, I think it'd be a picture perfect WC.

There are some upsets in there. I think Italy over Spain would be an upset. France over Argentina...maybe. USA over Germany. I don't see Italy, Brazil, or England losing to anyone until the semifinals. I don't see Netherlands, Portugal, or Argentina as that strong. Spain is good, but I don't see them doing well besides the obvious games. I'm more about tradition here, but then, I'm giving England a chance :)

@anymi, just noticed you have Chile over Brazil in the 2nd round. Wow, I gotta say, if that happens, it'll be huge for every other contender in this WC.
