For some reason, I would love to see an Argentina vs England right now.

I think England would win to be honest, and I'm not just saying that because I'm English. Would still be a brilliant match.

England for the coach they have, player per player probs Argentina wins at the moment, but tactically they are a mess.. England, and many other teams right now could toy with Argentina. In fact, player for player I doubt theres any one as strong as Argentina right meow.

So yeah, any rivals of Argentina, now is the time to beat them and say you did. Brazilians already did so home and away 3-1 and 1-3 respectively.

Player for player Spain are the only team better than Argentina in my opinion.

But as long as Maradona is coach, there are many teams that would walk over Argentina purely from tactical superiority.

England should have to put Gazza in charge if they play a Maradonna Argentina.

To even things up.

The way I see it

Best Front-line: Argentina with Messi, Tevez, Higuain, Milito, Aguero

Best Midfield: Spain with xavi, iniesta, silva, alonso, busquets

Best defence: Argentina hands down... :P

Busquets lol? Really?

Otherwise I agree with all your points, especially Argentina's awesome defense!!!
On a different note everyone's pretty good with women when it comes to hookers... well except the sham-wow guy.

Speaking clearly Brazil has one of the best defenses, imo!

Maicon - Lucio - Juan - Dani Alves

I think Brazil have a much more solid back four than Maradona has selected. Factor in they also have the best goalkeeper.

I think Spain is the best team hands down, fantastic keeper, good defensively line, best midfield in the world, and very very good forwards.

I really think good forwards need good mid fielders behind them to be of any use, so Spain's forwards are not better than Argentina's, but they are perhaps much more effective when you consider how well players like Xavi, Iniesta and Fabregas can rip teams apart single handedly, never mind together.

Thats a good point Klc.

Did anyone watch the England - Mexico game? I'm glad the score was 3-1, but I've read that the English gave away possesion a lot, and were outplayed for long periods... Could anyone tell me what happened?

How did Rooney play, how was teh team chemistry, how did the midfield perform and how come they where:
Fabio Capello's men who were outplayed for long spells, particularly in the first period, by the very lively visitors.
Was it the absence of the chelsea players?
