I know the whole deal with the middle east and what not, but when people talk about the middle east (even though more of it is in asia) I think of Africa. idk why.

The reasons it won't happen in Israel and Palestine are as follows:

- Palestine isn't even recognised as a country
- There are no suitable stadia
- There is not enough accommodation for supporters
- There is no infrastructure to move supporters around

haha other than the fact that regions just one big smouldering bombsite it thought the fact that palestine isnt even a country may hinder them slightly

i think giving south africa the world cup is a huge mistake so i doubt they would be daft enough to do that... mind you the euros will be in hungary and ukraine fs.. what are they smoking down a fifa these days... its a real shame that blatters never kicked a ball in his life.. kind of fu**s things up for everyone

Palestine do have a 'National' team, though.

But they really are crap.

I think it'd be a safer bet to give it solely to Israel.

I was in South Africa last month and the locals are so excited about hosting the tournament. They've already hosted the cricket and rugby world cups successfully. The British Lions are touring there next year and England are also due to play a cricket series there towards the end of 2009.

While I don't deny there is a problem with crime in South Africa, the press do love to hammer them for it at every opportunity but do you think Brazil 2014 is going to be any safer??

Euro 2012 is due to be held in Poland and the Ukraine BUT there will be a decision in a couple of months as to whether or not Ukraine will be ready to co-host it. All their stadia need work on them and they haven't started yet.

Hungary isn't a dangerous place though? i'll admit it's in no condition to host a major tournament from what i saw when i was there this summer but it's not dangerous if that's what you're implying.

The Middle East includes some countries in Northern Africa, like Egypt and Morocco, and they aren't part of Asia.
Morocco is part of the middle east now? Look at a map buster, it is right under Spain. More like Northwest Africa.

Actually IWGP, Davidson is right, in a way. Morocco is part of an extended definition of the Middle East, much like the metropolitan area of a city, that is called the 'Greater Middle East'. It includes Morocco of course, and also Somalia, Turkey and Cyrpus, among others.
