Hi everyone

Post by michaels0620 » 03 Jun 2006, 03:58

Hi everyone.

My name's Michael and I am 32 (which I think makes me an old man around here based on other's ages). It's been almost 20 years since I last played, but after watching more and more, I've decided to get back into the game.

I've got myself a ball and have started going trough the dribbling exercises on the site, and it is slow going, but I know I will get the hang of it. I am hoping to get good enough (and in good enough shape) that I can sign up for one of the rec leagues in the fall and be reasonably competitive.

Great to see your getting back into the game :) Welcome to the forums and hope you stick around.

Just remember Teddy Sherringham is 41 years old and is still playing in the top league in the world  You still have plenty of years left

Enjoy yourself.

Nice to see somebody who doesn't want to be "the next Ronaldinho" or whatever

Yes, you're probably right, although there a few dudes in their 30s lingering around (like B Heck)

Hello michaels0620 and welcome. Its good to have some adults on this site who have alot of experience playing football. I think its great you are practicing your dribbling, keep it up and you'll get the hang of it.

Hey guys, thanks again. Expert, I will settle for being the next Michael, who is decent at dribbling, has nice curving shot, and doesn't get burned too badly on defense.

Why bother arguing when I already know I'm right? :)

My wife will be happy to hear that.

Thanks for the welcome,
