It happened this week when Robbie Keane was sold off to Tottenham. I'm quite disappointed with the move as it was too soon and he didn't get enough chances and time to prove himself. There are many factors that could lead to his transfer move to Tottenham. What would other managers do to Keane? Would they give him time until summer for example? Why was Keane unable to adapt into the Liverpool squad? injuries or just not good enough?
Appreciate your ideas about Keane's failure to sustain in the Liverpool squad
well i think it was a combination of him not scoring as much as he should have when coming in and that rafa never had serious plans for him because he didnt want him in the first place........i do feel bad for him considering that he always wanted to play there and it just didnt go his way.
It was a nice piece of loan business from spurs. Loan out one of your best players for 5 months. Bag £20 million, 5 months later he return and overall you make a nice profit of around £8 million.
There we our with rafa moaning about the americans not giving him enough funds and he just shows them why they were right not to. Instead of buying a right winger or a postion in bad need of work we give spurs £8million.
The signing was a complete waste of time, i like keane but rafa only gave him a few games to prove himself. Look at crouch it took him over 24 hours of football to score his first.
I do feel bad for him, first he lost a club where he was treated like a"God" until Ramos came in,secondly he went to his childhood favorite club and completely failed.I wonder if the spurs fans will treat him in the same way as they used to be.Another thought which is annoying me is that if he is gonna be the first choice striker for spurs because now spurs have four quality strikers, namely, keane, bent, pavlychenko and defoe and someone will have to sacrifice..Harry will have to make some tough decisions.
As far as Liverpool and Rafa are concerned, imo they have made a good decision to let him go,they were under constant pressure to play him by the media and fans. His position did not suit Liverpool and vice versa.Liverpool need better midfielders other than Gerrard if they were to win anything. Also,Torres plays better as a lone striker upfront(remember he played better for Spain when Villa was not there:became top scorer for Liverpool when he was played as a lone striker). All in all,it was a complete failure and Liverpool should not have bought him in the first place.About the Spurs, imo they did not make much profit because they also experienced this thing with Defoe.
clearly it was, liverpool should not have sold him, it sometimes takes players time to bed in and also they have to play regularly! Eventually he could well have got his chance and performed, liverpool should not have let him talk to spurs.

Who is saying that. Most fans believe he didnt get enough playing time to prove what he could do and even whn he was playing he was working his ass off for the team.Thats what mostly all fans think here.
So apparently, 'Boro, a team that beat Liverpool, played Tottenham yesterday, and lost 4-0. Robbie Keane got 1 goal and 3 assists. I wonder what dumbass Rafa has to say to that.

Probably laughing at all the other spurs games Keane has failed to score in
Ha, just kidding. I was happy when we singed Keane. But, he just didn't fit, and certainly not through lack of effort
As said, Torres plays better up top on his own. He just didn't work out at the club, which was disappointing because it's clear he is a good player. Maybe just not top 4 standard
