Hugh mate Liverpool need to wean so bad its not funny. They need to wean like that have never weaned before but I think the only way for this is yet again to get new players, and by new I dont mean the next up and coming spaniard, or costa rican or Macedonian im talikng about 1 or two hard as balls Englishmen who dont take Cronnie and co's crap.

They dont have to be skilled but it will discipline and lift a team, im not talking about idiots like Barton or someone who gets themselves sent off, just someone like Carragher and Gerrard to lift, lead and risk and not give up. That go in hard and fairly. I dont come from England but Ive noticed with teams such as Man U, Villa and Chelsea are pretty much half British in the line up, and are good even Villa. Arsenal at times can play awsome but, they are never going to win without British playing the British game, does anyone agree with me or is it just me.

Sorry about my mega Bias.

We cant rely on Gerrard on Gerrard and yes weve got to wean them off his teat big time.

Yes, apart from Gerrard and Carra, I dont know any Poms at Liverpool that are worth knowing. Not nuturing English talent is soemthing Rafas been critized for. It would be a bit of a let off for me if my local team Melbourne was 80% overseas players, I do like to see some Aussie talent, especially the young players coming through.

On Liverpool, they need some more spice in the midfield, although they've got Masch and Alonso who can play that role, and I'm still convinced they need a midfielder who's more attack minded and brings quality to the final 3rd. Were all grateful to have Gerrard, but he's right about us not being able to rely on Gerrard all the time.

2x Cole (J and A)

The 4 Chelsea players are pretty much first choice for England when fit whereas Stoke+Gerrard (my new name for Liverpool) only have Gerrard who is international quality and English.

Carragher spat his dummy out because he isn't good enough.

Wow ITV blows. That's pretty much the worst coverage of a football match ever. You couldn't see the only goal even if you wanted to.

Yeah, whats going on there. Unusually rotated, even by Rafas standards. 5-3-2 Formation. We are playing ok but we need Torres on, Ngog is struggling.

Dadar dadar dadar dadar Torres...Torres.

What a game!!!

DAyammmmmm

When will Rafa learn that if we want to win weve got to play the best team available. OMG if we hadnt one.

This game showed that we have some quality players and some bummers. I can see the gaps, I he Benayoun plays Gerrards role in the upcoming weeks.

Gotta feel for Adams though.........LIVERPOOL!

We were sh*t pretty much, so lucky. We had some much possesion but didnt use any of it. Playing with 3 at the back was crazy, hope rafa will see that and never do it again.

Also were fu**ed without torres gerrard and alonso. The linesman on the nearside in the second half was upperly sh*t. He gave benayouns goal as offside when he was clearly on by miles and then pompey score.

I'm happy we won but concerened about when we play harder teams.
