The agent of Brazilian forward Robinho has revealed that there is no chance of his client swapping Real Madrid for Chelsea this summer.
The 24-year-old has been subject of transfer overtures from the Premier League runners-up all summer, however, his club has been adamant that he would not be sold.
Supposedly disillusioned with being seen as a potential makeweight for deal involving Cristiano Ronaldo, Robinho has made considerable noise about parting company with the Bernebeu club this offseason.
However, Madrid has refused to do business with any club over the transfer of the player. The club insists that he will be held to his contract, which will have only 12 months to run next summer.
Wagner Ribeiro, Robinho's agent, has stated that although the Chelsea deal will not materialize this season, the situation will be revisited next summer.
He told England's Daily Star: "The dream of Chelsea is broken because Real Madrid will not even negotiate. It is impossible to advance any conversation. Next summer we will sort out the situation if people can show some sense."
Real Madrid manager Bernd Schuster has declared himself happy to keep the ex-Santos star at the club, and admitted that the player's attitude had not changed following the transfer furor.

I love how RM made all this fuss trying to get cr7 and they're doing the exact same thing they were complaining about. It's to bad for Robinho, I'm a Chelsea fan but he's not getting the money or time he deserves at Madrid and I hope he gets a transfer next season no matter where it is.

There isn't much to draw from with that statement though, not to many of the big play making Brazilians have gone to england, and I can't think of any really in recent years. IMO the Brazilian style of play is best suited for Spain, and Italy, but I think Robinho with a bit of luck and if there is good chemistry could do quite well.

they don't go because when they do, they seem to fail, so i guess they don't want to fail, so i guess in a way i respect robinho for wanting to try it.
It does seem that certain Nationalities for the most part avoid certain leagues, the English rarely leave England, Brazilians avoid England, Argentines avoid Serie A etc.
and obviously there are exceptions, I'm speaking for the most part.
