Apparently, Macherano to Barcelona is a done deal. The only thing that can stop it from happening is Barca being cheap/liverpool asking for more.

I'm surprised no one has brought up AC Milan winning the player lottery. Not only are they getting one of the worlds top strikers, but a striker who's proven that Italian football is his bitch. I met my moms cousins husband yesterday for the first time (who's from Italy and a huge Inter fan) and asked him if he was angry about the move at all. He said it wasn't anything he ever thought would happen but was excited that there's finally gonna be a team to threaten them for the title

It is for everyone's best I believe. Ibra is completely used to the Italian league and will have no problems in adjusting. Plus Ronaldinho will set him up all day every day, while Pato does all the running and off the ball movement. Pep on the other hand got a hard working player like Eto'o but with more technical ability in Villa. Its a win win for everyone.

Besides, AC Milan will have a dangerous front three with Ronaldinho on the left, Ibrahimovich in the middle and Pato on the right.

its a front line that says R.I.P. lol

The old Zlatan was never gone. He started only 23 games, played in 29 and got 16 goals and 7 assist. Plus a goal in the Copa del Rey, 4 champions league goals (which without would have seen Barca out earlier) and 2 champions league assist. His total of 40 total games for the club with 23 goals and 9 assist (although not a great season for him) is very respectable and it was his first year in the league in a system that didn't work in his benefit.

So despite a disappointing season by his standards he was hardly ever "gone". It really is a win-win though. Barca gets out from his huge salary (which would pay off but they'd rather have Villa and that all good), AC Milan get a great player at a bargain price (assuming they use the option to buy), and Zlatan goes to a club and league that not only suits him but respects him more (even though a lot of Juve and Inter fans are gonna dislike him).

That said the AC Milan squad does look impressive now with:
Inzaghi
Ibrahimovic
Huntelaar
Ronaldinho
Pato
Borriello
-just their forwards
back that with a solid mid and defense (although aging) and you have a squad capable of winning....... Plus Rafa is at the wheel at Inter

I was really happy to see Ireland get out of Man City as well.

Yeah they do have a good squad, Huntelaar is leaving for Schalke however.
I think it is a good move for the player, as the Bundesliga would suit him to the ground in my opinion, and he could come back to his form at Ajax.

I can't make my mind up whether or not it is good for AC Milan though, yes they are probably getting Ibra, but Huntelaar is always a class player to have to call upon.

I think its a great move on Milan's part. Exchanging Huntelaar for Ibra is like exchanging a pickle for a big mac and fries.

Huntelaar definitely failed to live up to his goal-scoring legend when he played for Madrid and then Milan.

I just think Spanish football and Italian football didn't suit him at all. Hopefully he will do well in Germany.

Gudjohnsen is rumoured to be leaving Spurs for Stoke. I can't see the logic in this, I think he has always been a quality player and seriously under-rated.

The reason being those clubs aren't in Holland. We all know pretty much anyone can rack up huge goal totals there.

And I thought he still has time on his loan contract from monaco? Either way I thought Spurs were going to sign him when the loan ran out.

I'ts a good thing he's not going to spurs, because I'd have a strange urge to only call him Cuntlaar.

and on the not being in Holland thing, I agree. I mean, Kuyt scored loads of goals in Holland.

Yeah Kuyt nearlly hasd a goal to game ratio. Its strange how some of these players careers can work out. Thats why i am iffy about Suarez, if he went to Man U would he be popping them away?
