Turning Pro??

Post by Joga Bonito » 11 Jul 2006, 12:17

Hello, I am 18 years old and i have been out of outdoor club training for around 4 years. I played for 8 years before that and the last 3 years i have played indoor. I consider my skill level high but i want to know if missing out on the critical training years between 14 and 18 would effect me in becoming a proffesional soccer player?

Thanx,
Chris Molloy

i know a guy that played in the club i play in and he just went into the MLS. Before now he played indoor. but it was the professional indoor league... so possibly you could have missed out on the right training... but maybe not.

No way buddy. I started playing ball when I was 15 for a Premier 2 club and JV high school. When I was 18, I joined a men's indoor league for one year. Now I am close to moving to NCAA div. 2 soccer here in US for my university. You just gotta love the game :)
