I have a question for anyone that knows the answer, hopefully avyaybarca will know.

My soccer resume is not nearly as impressive as yours. I could put in some acheivements that would hopefully at least look good on paper.

But this fall all of my high school games will be video taped. If I play like I know I can I will be able to put a decently impressive high light reel together. Can I send videos to these addresses or will they not take the time to view a video. Also, how long should the vid be? I've heard that colleges look for 20-25 minute videos, but I've never heard anything about sending videos to clubs.

Any info will be much appreciated.

In your video you have to have have 3 sections:

High light reel: showing nice moves, plays, passes, goals etc..

Practice: A video of you durinf a practice session.

Game: And a full game of you playing so they know how you play in a game.

The only thing about videos is that 90% of them arent even looked at. But if youre making one it should be about 10-15 minutes long with clips of you doing:

1. Some fitness drills so they can see that youre fit.
2. Some clips of personal skill
3. Some good things you do in a game

this academy stuff sounds great. Are any academies in the states? Cause chances are i'm not going to move to england. Not like i'll make it into one of them any time soon but it would be nice to know. :D

You gotta be amazing and aparently you gotta be living in england before these clubs give you trial for you to be eligible to be scouted. When i say amazing I mean AMAZING because big clubs hardly breed any players they just buy them so you gotta be amazing even to be looked at.

I have a few friends who play in academies, Crystal Palace, Fulham, QPR, & Leyton Orient.

For instance. the one who plays for Fulham FC, is top class.

He got scouted while playing for an amateur team. The scout spoke to him after the match and told him to come for a 6 week trial, where they pick the creme de la creme of everybody who was scouted.

Anyway, they gave him a contract now because he has passed 16, and is doing well, but all of these guys attitudes to other footballers stink. They have an "I am better than anyone attitude".

I'm 16 would these clubs even take a look at me? I'm pretty sure if they did they would give me trials.

What should I say when writing to them?
