In USA going to college costs money. If you're good (and have decent grades) some schools may offer you a scholarship, which will pay a portion (or your entire tuition, hence full scholarship) as long as you stay healthy and play for their team.
It's kind of like a contract between you and the school. You can't just take the money and go to another school.
you have to be in high school first of all. you usually start applying for college scholarships once you're in 12th grade, although i've heard of people starting in 11th.
what did you mean by accomodation? like room and board?

you mean attend high school in the u.s.? i don't think so. more and more colleges these days are going to foreign countries to find talent for their athletic programs. i watched a college basketball game a while back, and they said something about college scouts going to senegal, nigeria, and cameroon, teaching the kids basketball, and bringing them back when they're old enough to play for a college.
my friend got a scholarship though he cant go until he is 18, i got offered but i am petrified of flying it seems to be the big thing over here as i know quite a few who have applyed for one
and with the last kick of the game robbie fowler scored with a header
if flying's the only thing keeping your from a scholarship to play at a higher level, you need to get over your fear and come play here. it'll be well worth it in the end
I am in grade 10 and have been offered a scholarship from West Virginia but I am waiting til I am in grade 12 before I make any decisions. I want to go straight to pro if I can hopefully make a club in Europe
it's good that you're waiting to decide, but if you're getting offers from big colleges like west virginia DON'T WAIT FOR OFFERS FROM EUROPE. god, i would give anything just to have an scout at a game from a big college like that, don't get greedy. you can use the experience college will give you, plus you always need something to fall back on. you'll probably play until you're about 35 if you're lucky, and after that you've got 40+ years of life to live. very few people make enough in football alone to live off of the rest of their lives. go to college, don't worry, europe isn't going anywhere
I hear UCLA(University of California Los Angeles) has a pretty good soccer team. I wanna go there when im 18.The only way im getting into that collge is a scholarship cause 4 year collgese are so expensive.
