Making it in Australia

Post by ah7 » 31 Mar 2011, 10:48

Hey guys just wondering what's the best thing soccer career wise to make it to the next level. Im 16 and i think the next step from now until im 17 would be trying to get into an a league youth team. How would I go about this? would it be a good idea to contact clubs?

any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Your on the right track, contact your local national league club and ask them when the trials are held for the youth side. The Perth Glory hold open trials for the youth team, not sure if it is the same in all other states. I'm not sure if the Glory hold open trials anymore, this might have been just a one off.

Tell me about it aye, I wish there were more opportunities here in Aus', especially for the ones like me who don't have the money to play for representative teams, or the parents willing to support you.

Stick at it though man, there is always a way out.
