Yes i am a perfectionist.

Yes i could train so hard that i can do whatever you want with the ball, and i can train so hard that im ten times faster, but i aint magically put on 3 stone in 5 months, no one can.

Wanderer do you get a buzz from creating Hieroglyphics that no one else can decipher?

Quick question guys, the luton application said to highlight your positiong and i selected Centre Forward. The problem comes though that yes i can play as a target man/Centre forward, i feel my best position is a striker.

Key differences been i would say im more a solskjaer or R9 forward than a drogaba or ibrahimovic forward.

Im quick and good at dribbling with the ball and i would say i have quite good positional skills in peeling of the defenders and making runs for the ball, but if the sheet says centre forward does that mean that they strictly want me to play as a centre forward or is it them just generalising. My finishing with both my feet is good and my shooting is good but im not as good as scoring headers.

I realise that i could just ask on the day but at the moment im getting buzzing just thinking about the trial and its 5 months away and i would really like to know what you guys think.

Centre forward means centre forward lol. They obviously use this formation in the trials because this is the formation Luton town use. They are looking for players that will play in their system. You say you prefer to play a different role. Do you think they give a sh*t? By that i mean if they were to sign you, would you expect them to change the way they play just to accomodate you? I wouldnt think so, so you have to impress them in the position THEY want you to.

I wouldn't expect them to change their formation to accomadate me obviously, that would be bizarre, but what i was wondering is if they put CF as a general forward because realisticly 99% of people don't know the proper difference between a CF and a Striker, so they may have just been generalizing.

ill honestly say i dont know the difference between the two, i dont mind playing there, cos thats where i want to play, i play as striker so its nearest thing, but i may have to put down rw i dont know.

im quick, getting quicker, my finishing is of a very good standard i think, my shooting is getting better, that makes up a striker to me, what i cant do is the air stuff which if thats what a cf is there for, to win balls in the air, then im gonna have to change mine to rw, i have no real problem with crossing either.

I don't think what position you put on the application matters too much, their not going to be unset with you if you tick CF and then turn out to be an amazing right winger. Im just taking that approach, i can on the wings as a striker and as a CF or supporting striker so there aint really any position that they can chuck me into that i'll be in the deep end playing.

i dont think id have any problem playing any of the attacking roles to be honest, but i know there going to rate you on what one you pick, so if i put cf and dont win any balls in the air or holdup play like i should be they might mark me down on that, where as if i put rw, ive got free rain down the side, can cut in and become a striker, so yea im thinking rw now, im a massive fan of bellamy so hes who i wanna be like, and hes more or less playing right or left wing for city at the minute.

Thats the freedom with been a winger i guess.

Still, if you select CF and then in the game play as a striker but score a hatrick i don't think their gonna care what you call yourself aslong as you can score in difficult situations.

I prefer teams which give the players freedom to roam around like barcelona, because i means players like Messi can move to the opposite side of the pitch, or they can come inside and play as a striker, it makes much better football to watch.

To be honest i dont really think the coaches were thinking too deeply when choosing positions. It really is probably just being general as long as you play in that sort of position.

Just think what an AMC will be thinking

BUT to be on the safe side ring them up. I would just say pick your best position and then impress on the day!

I would have loved to go to these trials but Luton is over 2 hours away by
car  . But next year i will go to the Leeds United open trials :D .

Come on man 2 hours is nothing! Do it!

I want to comment again on the weight thing. I know you probably think we were being harsh but I wouldn't be surprised if a coach comments about it.

I'm just saying it might be wise to look into a training program if your not on one already. Being a CF you really need to be able to hold up the ball and hold off defenders. Your considered a target man.

Yes, I understand 2 hours isnt really that much but i think under 16s/ under 18s are not allowed to join a club more than 90 mins away.

I also dont believe that at the moment my level is quite up to what it should be as i am about average in my sunday league team, but hopefully next year with enough training i will be good enough.
