Vietnam 2 - 0 UAE

Post by anhkhoashevakt » 09 Jul 2007, 03:51

Have you ever heard of this match ? I mean I'm a Vietnamese and my national team has never won such a match with such a strong opponent so it's just ... a wonderful and historic victory for my country.

Nice, I never knew UAE was that strong though, are they?

Although it means nothing, the FIFA rankings have UAE at 94 and Vietnam at 142.

Hmm...that's an upset.

I just never would have thought of UAE as a football nation. They seem more into building fancy projects and fake islands for people. That means $$$!

Haha, I know what you mean. Don't they have the worlds tallest building or something now?

World's Tallest Hotel or something. I checked prices in that thing! EXPENSIVE!!! Talk about at least $1000 a night...

Ouch. I think I'd rather stay in a hotel that is a tenth of the price and floors.

Anyway, we're offtopic... back to Asian Cup action between UAE and Vietnam.

Yeah ! Thailand also has a very good afternoon too :D . So we are pretty much on the good way ! Despite anything will happen, including our team won't even make a draw against Japan and Quatar, just pretty much cheers !
Yeah ! I think that this victory is not a very big thing to be bragging about, but I'm really proud of my country, even when the victory has a little bit of "lucky" in it, the players played very bravely and fearlessly. They derserved the win. It just... I'm so happy !

I thought Vietnam played really well considering U.A.E is one of the better footballing nations in Asia. I'm happy for Vietnam, they have a lot of support since they are hosting the tournament!
