I'm feeling confident the U.S. can win this comfortably. Against Panama we didn't score as many goals as we could've, but at times we were flying. Demspey and Donovan have shown great skill in midfield. The ball Dempsey played which created Donovan's penalty was superb. With the USA's form and Canada recently losing to Guadaloupe (a country which isn't even a country), I think the USA should definately win.

I hope the US wins. We really need this to help build our national team. Especially after not moving on past the first stage of the world cup. If we stay on form like this and keep building for the next few years, who knows; we may have a shot at the world cup. How great would that be? Anyways, I guess I shouldn't get excited too early in case we get killed.

When's the game, though?

It's on Thursday, about 7pm Eastern I believe.

Really if we play well, the only team in this tournament that can touch us is Mexico.

There is no chance that the US loses this game. At least there won't be if Dempsey shoots when 1v1 against the keeper instead of dicking around with the ball. We are just that much stronger than any other club bar Mexico. However, defensively we have been a bit shakey, especially in the last few minutes vs. T&T and in Panama's goal. We can start solving this by dropping that dirty hippie Frankie Hejduk.

Mexico will win the tourny, this game will be close i'd say 2-1 for US. World stage both countries are poor.

Well iM the 1st canadian here :D . I don't know much about canada national team because we never won anything and there is not a lot of tv games. I suppose usa will win because if they can get in a world cup and we can't they are better. but the quarter final vs haiti (not a strong team BUT... ) we played for the 1st time like a team. anyway even if US are better I hope canada will win their 1st trophy in anything (I think)

GO CANADA GO!!!

there is no excuse for not winning this tournament. concacaf is a garbage "federation" or whatever you would call it we all know this, with the only decent teams being the US and mexico. in my opinion, an country that deserves any kind of respect in world football should blow through this tournament. no disrespect to canada, theyre doing what they need to be doing, its not gunna come all at once, so good luck, but we all know what should happen

sorry to Canada but i don't think they have a chance pretty much for the reasons ROIUSA said. and also, if the US wants respect, and while they won't get it by winning this tournament, losing this tournament will only make people think less of them. also, a good showing the in Copa America should help too

I think Canada could actually give USA a good run for their money, but only if we kick out that Quebecker defender...

Anyway it's all immaterial, Honduras are going to win.

lol

USA have been winning games but they have been looking shaky throughout most of them. Canada has also been winning games (except 1) and they look to be in pretty good form right now. I think USA will dominate one part of the game but then they will sit back and Canada will come through with an equalizer or at least a goal.
