Kansas City Wizards and Eddie Johnson

Post by mrbeankid22 » 03 Jun 2007, 06:02

Things seem to be shaping together for him as well as KC. They have had pulled through in 2 successive victories against the best in the East. And what about Johnson, an MLS record for two hat tricks in a row. I would like to see if the club can keep up their goal scoring without Johnson in the coming weeks for Gold Cup. It will be interesting too see if Arnaud can produce anything up front.

Thats exactly what I want to see too. I have a feeling they can't though. I didn't see him play last night, but I saw him a week ago against the Revs and without him on the field, the Revs would have easily won 3-1.

He is so dominating up front in MLS at times. there aren't many defenders who can match is strength and speed. The only problem with Johnson is he hasn't been consistant in the past. He has gone on streaks like this before, but always falls off it seems. It never lasts.

I hope this does lasts for the Gold Cup though, because with him in form like this, we have a very good shot at taking that tournement.

Yeah noticed that when he played down at Dallas  New York will retain a great squad since they are not losing anything (correct me if I'm wrong) to international squads this summer. By the way, J do you play MLS Fantasy?

Just your average fantasy game directly from the MLS (fantasy.mlsnet.com). Its quite fun and has the features you would expect from any fantasy game. You can make 6 trades a week, and its all free, have a captain, etc. Only bad thing is player wages are fixed so you cant buy/sell players to gain finances for the squad. You also have to be good with keeping up with injuries/suspensions because the MLS website only updates after the game week has been played. Still addicting though, wish I had Eddie up front for this week but I opted for Cooper.

good thing I live in KC I was watching the game against NY where he scored his second hatrick. MLS games are actually pretty fun to watch if you're at the stadium.

Yeah, they are. I have nothing to compare to, but I regularly go watch Toronto FC and it's a lot of fun.
