Post by gnarlyjim » 07 Apr 2007, 18:22

Alright, I'm really excited right now! I got tickets to 10 Toronto FC games today. Here's the games I'm going to...

Sat., Apr. 28 // Kansas City Wizards
Sat., May 12 // Chicago Fire
Wed., May 16 // Houston Dynamo
Wed., Jun. 6 // New York Red Bulls
Sun., Jun. 17 // FC Dallas
Sun., Jul. 29 // Chicago Fire
Sun., Aug. 5 // Los Angeles Galaxy
Sat., Aug. 25 // D.C. United
Sat., Sep. 15 // Real Salt Lake
Sat., Oct. 20 // New England Revolution

Anyone else plan on going to any Toronto FC games? What about any MLS games?

I'm not coming to Toronto, but a few friends and I are going to buy some tickets to see the NY Red Bulls play the LA Galaxy in August. We're just going to drive up to New York. It's about a 2.5 hour drive, so not too bad.

I want Vancouver to get a soccer club... Vancouver FC? Canucks football? Vancouver United?

I guess, maybe the Whitecaps could upgrade. But how big is the stadium? Would it need to be expanded a lot or what?

Anyone heard of the Edmonton Aviators? They played at Commonwealth for less then a season in the USL and folded.

So that might hurt Edmonton's chances at a MLS team, but it sure would be cool! :D

gnarlyjim, you think I could buy those August 5th tickets from ya?

Haha, sorry.. no. Idividual tickets go on sale tomorrow (April 9th) I believe. That is like the one game I want to see the most. :)

Also, I watched Toronto FC vs. Chivas USA last night and I thought Toronto looked okay. From what I saw, their strikers look fast, and this guy named Richard Mulrooney played very well. Until I watch them a little more, he is my favourite player.

Yeah, Jim Brennan is solid too.

TFC also has a pretty strong midfield but they couldn't spark anything yesterday, except the start of the game. So signs of some good progression I guess.

But I just can't get the Eskandarian head thingy though... :P
