Now that the move is confirmed...what do you guys think? I am excited because Jozy will be moving to a stronger league and will (on a weekly basis) be facing tough competition. This will definitely improve his quality of play if he can keep up. I think when American players go to play abroad it strengthens the US National Team and gives them more "international" experience. Any thoughts?

In the short term, I think having US players play in a variety of countries that are currently the most competitive and where they can develop the most and best is great. However, if we ever want a shot at winning a WC or being a prime contender (obviously this is thinking very long term), then it would be better to develop the MLS into a more competitive league and develop our players through there. I'm not saying keep them all here, because that doesn't give them the proper experience with different styles of play, but staying at home should be a competitive option.

That being said, I think this is a great move and I will be keeping up with him. Go Altidore go!

I think the US certainly has the potential to become a bigger major threat in World football, not just the MLS, but the national side too. Anyway, I dont really know much about Altidore, but I wish him all the best.
