Probably to make salary cap space since they signed a bunch of players from South America.

And I think Gomez is making alot more at Colorado now.

That makes sense, I don't get why DC would be willing to let him go considering he's helped them a lot in previous years, but the salary cap thing makes sense. What is the Salary cap?

I'm not sure of it's exact amount.

Gomez is also 33 now, so they probably would rather bring in some younger players. And the addition of Fred and Emilio helped DC alot last year so Gomez wasn't as important.

 this green card thing? are they given to any south american player that can successfully cross the border undetected?
It would explain why teams have 9 foreign players

So because of that terrible tackle on Ruiz he's out for 4-6 weeks, sucks for LA.

Don't get to see him play in the friendly vs. Vancouver here in Edmonton then. :?

Once we get Twellman and Ralston back we'll be fine. For now, I'm just praying that we don't get too humiliated.

We'll see what happens when we have 11 players on the pitch and Ralston and Twellman back.

The ref handed the game to the Fire. Nice dive by Mapp too.
