Coming mls teams

Post by chicagofirefan » 03 Dec 2007, 02:12

I no a lot of u have probably heard this but next year the earthquakes are coming back. Also in 2009 Seattle will have an mls team. I just want to know what u think about that. Do you think it will greatly help in making the mls more popular?

i hope so, Miami should get a team again, it could be Miami or Florida as a whole

Seattle better have a good name too, not like the Sounders, a legit name

Vancouver is also getting a team. Maybe if I stop in town I'll be able to catch some games!

The South Carolina team would be the South Carolina Klan...Oh I'm a horrible person.

Personally I would like to see another team put in New York. I feel MLS needs more local derbies like in LA. Other than that, I feel that Philadelphia, Miami, Phoenix, and Detroit all have a good setting for a club. I don't think Seattle is really an ideal place for a team.

I also think that maybe Atlanta, Cincinatti, or Nashville might be good places for a team.

Me too, I live in Ann Arbor. A Detroit team would be sick.

yea man, i'd be at every game if i could. Detroit's done good with indoor teams, i think they could do the same with an MLS team

btw, what club team do you play for?

That isn't for sure yet Davidson9. Those are just the proposed plans. Whether or not we get a team comes down to how state officials vote in terms of how much money they are willing to alot to this project.

Chester is a really bad area. The goal of this is to bring more revenue into the town. Hopefully it will work, but I often drive past Chester and right now it's a place that you'll want to lock your doors.

I guess they're trying to do the same thing there that DC is doing with the National's new stadium. God knows how many projects they took down in that job. Once it opens though, that area will be so nice. The area around RFK is still a bit of a sh**hole though.

My (now) old coach tried out for the Earthquakes, apparently he did pretty well and he may be on the team. Pretty exciting for him, he is still only 29.
