what i do is bring a ball with me (in my backpack) to school or watever, and when i walk home i run...dribbling the ball along side the road...doing scissors, turns, and more. Then along the way home i hit this big concrete wall beside a field here and practise with usually my left and heading...then i sprint and 3 quarter pace run home with or without the ball. (oh btw i live like almost on the other side of town from my school so the running home is very good training hah)

Im very bad at heading how do I practise? Basicly Im afraid to hit the ball and if I does I keep shutting my eyes.

BTW yes I actually heard that if you kick a ball agaisnt a wall it is bad for the ball.

dooglas, i do 20 sets of 50 push ups, and 10 sets of 100 sit ups.... i've had one coach that used to work on fitness all the time so i need to keep the engine runing....
soccerchic, i told you for speed: find a slope, and run up and down short sprints, up is for power, down is for acceleration......
fantasista, is you're affraid to hit the ball then go play chess, i've had same problem few years ago, and i talked with my friends from club about it and it was like treatment with psychologist, all my fears have gone.......

I think one way to approach this problem is to think about it this way: don't let the ball hit you. You charge at it! It's normal to close your eyes at the moment of impact, but make sure you make good contact. Don't just thrust your head forward or you can really hurt yourself.

It may be bad for the ball, but it's good for your skills. :D Which is more important to you?

does doing push ups really help with your soccer skills? i always get the feeling like i should be doing more lower body stuff than upper body.

well, push ups dont help ur skill. they give you more strength, strength is good and helpful. so it always pays off to work on both upper and lower body. but i have a feeling abs will help you more than push ups.

i do 3 sets of 35 push ups, 3 sets of 45 sit ups, and sometimes run a mile and half to improve my cardio, and leg muscles

doing a lot of running or sprinting is good. Or u can dribble w/ the ball while running. And juggling is always fun. I juggle everyday. It really helps u to imrprove ball control, and if it gets boring, then try to do some freestyle tricks, they look so awesome
