Running to Shooting

Post by Aman147 » 31 Jan 2006, 21:10

Does running help your shooting...Im a keeper so I mean distance...Please dont awnser just cause it sounds like common sense, does running strengthen the same musles you need for a longer kick??

Somewhat it will, but squats and leg extensions would help more. Even riding a bike would help alot also.

its not all about the muscle, its more about technique. Before i had muscle in my legs i still used to have a pretty decent kick with good distance. Watch top golaies take goal kicks and study their techniques. Try and tape a game and study from that. look around the forum also, you will find some pretty decent advice also. Good luck :)

i think squats are the best for what your talking about, but j is right technique is just as important as strength
