Hello Wawa and welcome to the forums. No your not to short to do the trick you just havent practiced enough and when you kick and long pass it probably goes off in the wrong direction because even though your not toeing it, it may be hitting your shin guards instead of your foot. All i can say for your kicking problem is practice makes perfect, talk to your trainer/coach about your problem im sure he has the advice your looking for.Wawa wrote:hmm heyy everyone i have some questions

by the way i play as midfield and i always kick with the "top of my laces" (not a toe kick - but like on top of toes/boots) but i always get scared of kicking really long passes because theres been alot of times that it goes off somewhere else

Your stepovers don't actually go over the top of the ball. They go around and in front. Like I said before, watch some slowed down videos. Peace out.

Update I followed what "unknown" said about the angle! Yea I tihnk that was my problem because back then I use to kick 45* behind the ball but now its alot tigher and its working!
About the stepover, I see, without any boots Ican do them pretty well although pretty slow but with boots thats where the problem of I guess a really small "circle" that my foot makes when im actually doing the stepover and it sometimes causes me to hi the ball.
