Reading a dive

When keepers are defending a penalty kick, they should never jump back and forth before diving. it is easily read that the keeper is going to dive so the shooter usually shoots it in the centre of the goal whilst the goalie dives to one side.

I'm a stricker and I have noticed that. When the goalie hops around like that, most of the time he dives.

I play keeper and i jump around to stay on my toes, also makes you react much quicker instead of just standing there like a post, it dosnt mean u are going to dive, if u dont dive and a shot is placed in the corner its looked at as lazy, every keeper should pick a side no matter what.

not all the time. I mean, if u dont dive and make the save its viewed as a smart save
