Never cared about the chat but NOOOOOO snux!
It was terribly outdated, but quite cool. Also all the blogs and stuff were tied with it. 'Tis a shame
Believe me I was not pleased about it either especially considering the amount of work it took to get it up and running in the first place. But yea, real shame indeed - there was some cool stuff on Snux, I remember somebody writing poetry on the blogs for example and stuff like that.

The story is not very exciting for non-techies.
We used to run a slightly uncommon database format called Postgres. One day our previous webhost informed us that he had to do a reinstall and it turns out that he had wiped out Postgres. And the only usable backup was corrupted...
Fast forward to a few weeks ago. Started playing around with the old forum's database. I had to manually fix entries which was risky but somehow miraculously managed to upgrade it to the latest version of phpBB.
PS. Just noticed this, but looks like our avatars have been lost too.
