True, coaches do look for height, but if you show you can compete with them and that you aren't scared of any of them then they might think twice about you.

Agree with Barca, SoccerKid u just need practice a bit more than ur teamates to show 'em wat a small guy can do. Don't let others intimidate u
u just need to show who's da boss (dat means YOU). In my school theres a Salvadorian guy whos 4"9 and dribbles great. He's pro at doin rainbows.

Even in da NBA there r short great players go check out Spud Webb NBA 85' Slam Dunk Champion and hes 5"7 dats a 4"9 in soccer
The rules of soccer are very simple, basically it is this: if it moves, kick it. If it doesn’t move, kick it until it does.

height dosent matter...whoever said that was probably just another dumb american who thinks that size matters...thats what they always do..for NBA and stuff. like all they do is pick tall players for everything..there are short players better then jordan who didnt get in cause there short...players on tv like soccer players arent very short. so just keep working hard dont worry about it. Im short and i have the title of the top scoring in the league for 2 years in a row
tall players are clumsy

Michael Owen would be a great example...

Im 16 and im sh**load taller than my dad and my older brother (18). Basically my family is short, but i am average size. The only major difference between our habits is that I eat HEAPS and at around age 12-14 I was fat. I shot up because of all the material spare in my body. The whole time i have been doing heaps of excersise. Hope this helps.

don't even try

Post by jonas Vanden Broecke » 09 Aug 2006, 15:17

Why try to get bigger . practise your skills . what will happen , will happen . Don’t be up sad if your small , try to use it . When you are small , you maybe are very explosive and technical . look at maradonna he wasn’t the largest player . But now everyone knows him .

Peace

I remember many years ago it was a Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid match. Someone from B. Dortmund crossed, and it was R. Carlos vs Jan Koller... R. Carlos ended up winning the air duel :)

Better than Jordan... that might be overexagerating it just a bit.
