I find rap gets you pumped before the game, and classical music makes you concentrate on the game more.

classical or other slowish music always gets me depressed or something. it doesn't really help me much ,but rap gets me really pumped and ready to play

I like the reggae music. the beat and rythem of the music reminds me of the beat and rythem of the game.

I find that it's a variety for me.

If I need to get pumped, then rock gets me up the best.

If I need to relax, then some slower music on the radio, or some hip hop will do it.

Concentration also ties into relaxing...but I think that if you have a variety before a game it's the best way to go.

I listen to a few select bands including Limp Bizkit, Drowning pool and few others like that. A really good song from drowning pool that gets me pumped is "bodies" cuz the lyrics sound cool and inspiring. I always liked rock and it's part of my routine.

this may sound weird, but sometimes i'll listen to the commentary from old world cup matches. i don't mean like the possession keeping passes, but like the shots on goal. my favorite one is pele's header against england when banks made that amazing save. sorry if that's a little weird.

I agree, reggae rythems get me in the mood to play. Samba is also great, especially beats straight from brazil.
