Your Favorite TV Shows

I was thinking (something I only rarely do) and I realized that in this brave new world of media and entertainment, I have two favorite television shows above all else. Then I wondered, what does that say about me? The most critically acclaimed shows are quite dark and gritty, and the most watched shows are often lowest common denominator sitcoms and reality programs. And then I wondered if a television show can be considered a piece of art, like a film or a song. Anyway, after this rambling preamble I wonder what programs you folks enjoy.

Breaking Bad is SWEET S4, I'm dying for the new season. Also love KJ, Sharman & co. on the Footy Show. Sad the podcast is hanging it up. I feel the same pain I did when Sid & Tim stopped having their podcast...

Romez's Choice List of Choice TV

1) The Wire. Forever and always. Anyone who has seen it will find it hard to argue it isn't the best show out there.

2) Breaking Bad. Just love everything about the execution. Really exciting.

3) CSI:. Always been a fan, though my interest has dipped in the later seasons. Only Las Vegas though; will accept no substitutes.

4) Adventure Time. I'm a sucker for this one. Such good writing!

5) Community. Was great in its heyday (can't believe I'm saying that), but I fear for its life now post-Harmon. Can't have long left...

I've been meaning to watch Parks & Rec., The Walking Dead and Prison Break on friend recommendation. Can anyone sell me on them?!

You might want to skip season 1, it's not nearly as great as the rest. I love community, but at this point parks and rec has surpassed it in pure comedy/fun terms.

I agree with you. Breaking Bad rocks. Also it gave the chance for that guy to shine as a star. Totally different role from Malcom in the Middle. I was shocked when I first saw him if he could pull that character off.

If anyone has Netflix I recommend watching House of Cards. Excellent show starring Kevin Spacey, one of my favorite actors
