Life Expectancy Calculator

Post by thisisdard » 03 Jan 2008, 10:56

http://www.peterrussell.com/Odds/RealAge.php

Not the most accurate but certainly a better lifestyle checker than other polls and the like. Mine is currently 87.5 years; but I could boost it to 113.5 years if I do some little changes and decrease my stress.
That's quite a lot of extra years now isn't it?

PS. Most aging people are very afraid of using this calculator for obvious reasons. So don't force your middle aged uncles and grandparents else they might die of shock upon realizing that they have a few years to live. Others are suddenly glorified when they realize that they live longer than expected.

In step 3 there are only 5 race options:American Indian, Asian, Black, Caucasian and Hispanic.

I don't belong to any of those races so I can't complete that test.

It also asks for cholesterol and blood pressure levels and I don't know them.

According to this test my life expectancy is 89.4 years. It would have been higher but on the last question it asked how many risks I take. The most severe option was "I am jumping out of a plane right now." Well, I am going skydiving in a few months so I selected that and my expectancy dropped about 4 years.

This thing is pretty cool, my biological age is 14 but my virtual age is 6.8  creepy... lol anyway I can expect to live until I'm 81.2 even if this is not precision accurate.

This is really weird.........

My biological age is 12 right? my virtual age is 0.90000000000000. wtf?

Anyway, I'm supposed to live to 85.1. Thats 26700 more days. Wow, thats a long time. Better get started wasting it then!

This virtual age is screwed up. Life expectancy is 88, though I didn't know a couple questions so I kept them at normal.

I got 98.8 years, but I don't think I'll live that long. I'm not sure that I woyuld want to live that long. I think I'd rather be dead than a complete vegetable.

91.1, That's good enough for me. If I live past 80 years I will be very satisfied.

I would imagine that with scientific and medical advances being made at an exponential pace at this time, a good percentage of our generation would be living into their 100s by the time we are geriatric, so in reality I would say that this test is a bit flawed.

Well im supposed to live for about 88 years...Hopefully i can do some cool stuff in the next 75 years 8)

I didnt like that it said if you take risks your life expectency will be shorter, i would rather do something worth living for and live shorter than taking no risks and having a boring life...
