It's slowly becoming more painful through the course of this day, and I'm concerned that I've busted a blade or something or rather, should I keep working my core muscles to prevent this from worsening or simply relax and rest my back? Is this pain in the small of my back relative to a weak core?
I can't seem to edit my own posts atm...so I'm just making this post urgent, I've been rung up to participate in a friendly tomorrow for my school's representative U16 team, and my back's aching alot. So I'm in a bit of a dilemma whether to go or not, my knees are crap too. :(
do not take this as an insult but that post seriously cracked me up because when u said u had back pain and bad knees i pictured an old man bent over with a cane and shakey knees in my head and then the part about U16 registered. :D

on topic i think it depends on if u feel its just pain or if its an injury. if its just pain u can play thru it but if its something more then prob better to get a medical opinion.

How many reps you do is up to you. You said you didn't feel any hard work or pain so maybe you should do more than 30 reps? Do your exercises until you start feeling pain, when you do so; hold the pain for a bit and move on to the next exercise. No pain, no gain!

How you feel the next day I don't think really matters, but some people might feel stiff.

And if you have an amount of fat I suggest you start burning that off before doing any of those exercises. The thing is that it's all about having a low % of fat, because the six-pack is already there.. it's just hiding behind all that fat, and then you can do those exercises to build it up.

I also think genetics play a role in this, because I have kind of a six-pack and low % of fat and I've never really been working my abs, until lately.

Diet plays a large role. I've always done core exercises, but never really noticed a difference until I changed my diet. So just eat healthier and you'll notice a difference if you keep working your abs.

the secret to perfect abs is not the number of the reps, but how quick you do them . Don't do 20 slow ones, do 60 as quick as you can, you'll have abs like Ronaldo's in no time..
