It´s winter.... and I´m not really into jogging, when it´s -20 degrees outside. So I´m thinking that maybe I could do HIIT training with rope. I have jumped rope occasionally. Now I would need to get some kind of training program, just to give some guidelines. How many set/reps and for how long?

in skipping you dont need to do lots of sets of reps what you have to do is to see how long you can keep jumping rope.

what i try to do is to skip in sets working up to my peak so i start of with a two minute skip then a four minute then a 6 then 8 then 10 and then if your not already ready to fall over and go to sleep you can go back down, 8, 6, 4, 2.

here is a quick fact: jumping rope for 10 minutes quickly is worth a half hour run.

so if you skip for twenty minutes you have done 1 hour of running.

and if you do my program up and down you will be doing 2 and a half hours of running!!!!
