Bike Machines

Post by douglas »

Are bike machines useful for generating leg strength? Does it also help a little bit in endurance?

I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that bike machines would build up your muscular endurance, whereas if you want muscular strength, you would be better doing those leg weight machine things, with high weight and low reps.

Correct. It would help localised muscular endurance in the legs and also stamina if your working at high enough tempo. I wouldn't subsistute bike machine for jogging all the time though.
