i broke my ankle a few years back, but it doesn't really compare to this i guess. i didn't know i was hurt until i took off my shoes, and i recovered just fine for the next season.

dont play full time soccer or u risk getting another surgery
u dont got the world class trainers who can help u recover fully

anyways my knee cap wet out of place about 3 years ago and i had to quit soccer for 8 months
after the 8 months i went out to play but my skill level dipped greatly and anytime i played imy knee would hurt for several weeks
it still hasnt recovered fully to the extent that i can play full 90 minutes soccer
it helps if u play for 30 soccer once or twice a week
and lift weights with ur leg
and dont shoot hard the ball till uve managed to lift at least 480lbs with ur legs
