Hey Everyone im new to this site and i had a couple of questions and couldnt find anything on any other threads.

I was wondering what a good site to find LIGHT shoes good for freestylin or any recommendations. I have pretty thick calves and am just 2 weeks into freestyle and i could use some advice.

Thanks

Man, listen to me, the weight of your calves, quads, or any other muscle will hardly interfere with your freestyling ability. Freestyling is all about your technique and muscle memory (also known as practice), so don't worry about your leg size. Look at Roberto Carlos, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ronaldinho, etc, these are pros who have huge legs that can also freestyle pretty well. Also, I speak from experience, my legs are very big (leg extention 250 lbs*15, squat 365 lbs*5) and I am a pretty decent freestyler. As for what to wear, I personally prefer the most comfortable shoes that I can find, simple as that, although for me having a very thin surface helps a lot. I sometimes freestyle with a pair of Puma casual shoes, other times with a pair of old Kelme indoors. In short, don't get hung up on what you're wearing, because it will barely help at best, and in the meantime you will have spent loads of money.

hey, welcome to the forums, so as to your question, http://www.soccer.com and http://www.eurosport.com are both good sites for anything related to football. Personally I wear Adidas Samba Milleniums and I find them fantastically comfortable, and I have a great touch in them, although they are not as light as nike total 90s indoor. Most people say that Nike Total 90s indoor are THE freestyle shoe, but personally I reccomend the sambas since they are more comfortable. And that's about it. Oh yea there is a couple threads somewhat like this. Here are the urls

Cheers!

Edit:I second what Mpcarres said too, just try to wear the shoe that gives u the best touch, which doesn't necessarily have to be a football shoe.

Yes, I have a pair of these that I've been using for freestyling for the past 6 months or so. They are hard to find, but I've seen them popping up on ebay. You can get them for pretty cheap as well. I got mine on the "great saves" from soccer.com for $35. They are very nice for freestyling and will last a long time.
