Vapor Speed

Does anyone actually notice THAT much of a difference between vapors, and lets just say the powerswerves or lasers? I currently wear the powerswerves, but I notice I'm much slower than last season when I wore my vapors. Now I'm just wondering, is the difference in weight going to give you that much more speed?

Btw, who else notices that the vapor III's are lighter than the SL's and IV's...

point one of an ounce, are you kidding, theres no human being in the world that could hold both of those boots and tell you which ones heavier without guessing

theres no way it can possibly make any difference

as for being "slower" in other boots its not as if vapors make you instantly lightning quick, i would say you probably arnt any slower, or your just out of shape because no boot maes that much difference

it's wierd because it says that the vapor SL is 7.4 ounces but then later on in the paragraph it says it's 8.2. 7.4 makes more sense though

I'd argue that if your fast then a lighter boot would enable you to run quick becasue firstly they would be lighter and secondly they would be a tighter fit.

Obviously the vapors. But i agree if your slow to begin with dont expect a pair of boots to suddenly make you feel or run quicker. I just personally find it easyer to run in light, tight boots rather than a pair of heavey big boots

Theo Walcott wears vapors because Nike pays him to wear them. He is lightning fast without them and if little nieve kids like you see him wearing vapors they will think they can instantly become as fast as him, and they will buy vapors too.

I think half of it is psychological. If you put on Vapors and think "yeah, these will make me faster" then it will have a placebo effect.

I never said I wear boots just because someone else wears them, and I would only buy a boot based on other feedback, that's why I'm asking. I have predators and vapors but lately I've just been slower in the predators, and I was just wondering if it really makes a difference.

I agree with deadwrong. when I get new shoes I always feel like I can jump higher and run fatser i think it's mainly just brain effects it makes you think your faster so you'll be faster. But if there was a few ounce difference between boots then of course you could run faster with the lighter ones like I always run faster barefoot.

Obviously nike pay him to wear their boots, that goes without saying. My point is Vapors are made for wingers that are fast, therefore if your a winger and quick it would be a better be to wear them rather than a pair of adidas world cups that are intented for defenders.

There are no boots that are set for a certain position, players wear whatever they want.

Im talking professionals here, of course you can wear whatever boots you want

Basically, vapors are light and dont offer protection to the foot. Players that wear these use a new pair near enough every game because they rip/brake as a result of them being made without much support. Nike made vapors with the intention of creating a boot that is very light and to do this they have had to use materials that are weak, flimsy and brake easily.

Most defenders/central midfielders/goalkeepers on the other hand would prefer a boot that they can use game after game, gives them good contact on the ball, offers alot of protection to the foot and molds to their foot nicely. This is because for these positions speed isnt as big a factor as it is to a winger of striker.

And no im not making all this up. My mates brother use to be under contract at bristol city so he trained with them and told me about this stuff.
